Well that was the most amazing babyshower day! Thank you so much Kerry and Poochie Morgan for hosting for me. I feel so spoiled and cant wait to use it all on my little man<3 I might be pregnant but that doesn't mean I have to sit on the couch right? Had an easy slalom ride today which was so nice. Just cruising and staying in control. I have dropped the speed so In case something happens ( which it wont) then I have plenty of time to recover. My midwife said its ok for now...no jumping though!!! haha
#cantwaittomeetmylittleman #activepregnancy I am traveling to the World Championships today, but "unfortunately" it wont be to compete since I am pregnant!!! Tom is very excited and so am I. Its kind of crazy, I cant believe we are having a baby.
With my foot injury everything just kept getting postponed, I honestly think we would have had a little one a few years ago if it wouldn't have been for my 6 surgeries. I couldn't get pregnant being on medicine and also I wanted to get back on top again. There is always another tournament to look towards and so easy to postpone. Skiing is my life, I love it and I will always feel like that, but it will for sure be a bit of a change to be of tournament skiing for a while. We know fun, sleepless nights and lots of love is a head. After a bit of a disappointing Europeans last weekend with two passes and flying sideways through the air on my last jump this was a great weekend! I jumped 52.7 meter here at our own tournament Stokes Pro Am at Hazelwood Ski World in UK. Nice to be back to normal again and It made the tournament even better that my husband did a massive jump 68.7 meters and took the 3rd spot behind Ryan Dodd with 72.9 and Freddy Kruger with a whopping 73.6 meter. Everyone put in their best effort and we cant wait until having everyone back next year!
Everyone this is Zoe, she is my 2 year old girl! She is mine and Toms training partner and we can always trust she will be in that passenger seat!:-)
WOW, well that was close! LCQ is a tournament that will allow 1 person into the US masters in each event. The US Masters invite top 6 in the world and because they use last years world ranking list where I was nr. 7 then I had to qualify for the tournament with lots of other talented skiers. I have to say I was close and I equaled the furthest I have been since my injury at tournament which is 52.9 meters/ 172f. Nancy Chardin sneaked in front of me with 10 cm, - 53 meters and qualified. She too skied great and it was a great jump - congrats Nancy! Another huge shout out and congratulations goes out to Jacinta Caroll who just broke the World Record.. Great effort girl..!! So all in all still another big jump score for me and I'm happy with how my practice is progressing. Have fun out there and happy skiing...:-) June x Well that was so worth the 2 day flight!. I came 4'th at the World cup in Mandurah Australia - only 10cm behind the podium. It was very challenging conditions out there with a lot of current since we were skiing on the river and in lots of wind. Since they are only inviting top 8 in the World I'm very happy with the result. Also I got to hang out with my Maid of honor, Karen who lives in Melbourne but flew to Perth to see me - which was let just say..a lot of fun and laughter together with our other great Mates Ryan and Sarah. Wish Australia was closer! So happy to be back in the top of the world! It hasn't been easy, but hard work pays off. |
